About Us
Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is a wonderful place to expand your career and grow your skills and knowledge. As a recognised leader in the healthcare industry, we provide a range of public health services to the Nepean, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow Region.
Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.
Our Nepean Executive team is seeking an experienced leader to take on the role of Director for Performance and Support. The position will ensure provision of support in driving effective and efficient operational performance; and delivering consistent, high‑quality, best practice care. This pivotal role will contribute to the establishment of strategic business and service improvement pathways, supporting the achievement of key performance indicators and aligning operational priorities with the hospital’s long‑term vision.
The successful candidate will provide tactical, governance, and operational oversight to develop and implement corporate business strategies that respond to the evolving needs of the service. Working with the General Manager, this role will ensure strong leadership and management across divisional portfolios, with a focus on strategic alignment of divisional and operational plans.
This position carries responsibility for line management of Corporate, Divisional, and Administrative Services, and will act as the key liaison with Health Share for hospital support functions. As the successful incumbent, you will oversee external service providers on campus, ensuring compliance with service provision requirements, workplace health and safety, and safety and security standards. This is an opportunity to play a central role in shaping the operational success of Nepean Hospital while contributing to a culture of excellence and patient‑centred care.
