Are you a strategic, compassionate and forward thinking leader with a passion for improving health outcomes for refugees? The NSW Refugee Health Service (RHS) is seeking an experienced Director to lead this statewide service and shape the future of refugee health in NSW.
The Director of the NSW Refugee Health Service is responsible for providing executive leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight across all aspects of this statewide service, including clinical services, health promotion, partnerships, and program delivery.

You excel at building partnerships, navigating complexity, and leading multidisciplinary teams. You understand the unique needs of refugee communities and bring a commitment to equity, evidence based practice, and continuous improvement.
Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
- Demonstrated current understanding of refugee and asylum seeker health and related issues, and experience in health care for refugees.
- Demonstrated high level knowledge and experience in strategic planning, program design and implementation of population health/refugee health programs including research, evaluation, quality improvement and evidence informed management of complex health issues within a large and complex organisation.
- Demonstrated capacity to make decisions on management and strategic issues within a complex organisation using high level analytical, critical appraisal and problem-solving skills (including financial, human and physical resource management).
- Demonstrated ability to lead organisational change and drive performance, according to state and local priorities to achieve agreed objectives.
Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
