Mid North Coast Local Health District is seeking an exceptional executive leader to join our senior leadership team as Director Allied Health.
This is a rare opportunity to lead a diverse Allied Health portfolio across one of Australia's most desirable regional locations, spanning vibrant coastal communities, regional centres and rural health services.
As Director Allied Health, you will provide strategic leadership and professional governance for Allied Health services across the District, driving innovation, workforce excellence, service improvement, education, research and multidisciplinary models of care.
Reporting to the District Director Clinical Service Delivery, you will work collaboratively with senior colleagues to shape the future of healthcare delivery and improve outcomes for the communities we serve.
About the Role
The Director Allied Health is responsible for:
Providing strategic and operational leadership for Allied Health services across MNCLHD
Leading professional governance, quality improvement and clinical excellence initiatives
Developing a sustainable, capable and future-focused Allied Health workforce
Driving innovation, service redesign and models of care that improve patient outcomes
Strengthening research, education and evidence-based practice
Building strong partnerships with clinicians, executives, universities, community organisations and key stakeholders
Contributing as a key member of the District Executive leadership team
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be an accomplished allied health leader with:
Extensive senior leadership experience within complex Allied Health service environments
Demonstrated success leading large, multidisciplinary teams and services
Strong strategic thinking and the ability to influence healthcare reform and service development
Proven experience in workforce planning, governance, quality and performance management
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capabilities
A commitment to delivering patient-centred, culturally responsive healthcare
Tertiary qualifications and eligibility for registration with the relevant professional body where applicable
