About The Opportunity   

The successful candidate will have a minimum of one year of clinical experience gained in Australia or a comparable jurisdiction and will be able to work independently while seeking support when required, given the rural clinic setting. This position is not suitable for new graduates. We offer both full-time and part‑time arrangements, with part‑time applicants required to be available for a minimum of three days per week.

What You'll be doing   

We have a fantastic job opportunity for a Level 1 Dental Officer at our Bowral and Tahmoor Oral Health Clinics! If you enjoy working independently and are passionate about providing quality dental care, this position is perfect for you. As a Level 1 Dental Officer, you will have the chance to make a real impact in our community while working in a supportive environment. This role also offers a significant benefit: you may be eligible for up to an extra $20,000 through the Dental Officer Rural Incentive Scheme. This position is specifically for our Bowral and Tahmoor Oral Health Clinics, and we are looking for dedicated individuals ready to join our team.

1. Unrestricted registration as a Dentist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). 
2. Demonstrated proficiency in the delivery of high quality dental services within the scope of general dental practice. 
3. Proficiency in minor oral surgery, denture prosthetics, endodontics, children's dentistry and management of medically compromised patients. 
4. Commitment to the principles of public sector dentistry and sound evidence-based dental practice. 
5. Demonstrated proficiency in both written and verbal communication. 
6. Ability to work as a contributing member of a clinical team. 
7. An understanding of current concepts in clinical practice and demonstrated understanding of infection control principles. 
8. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
