Achieve Something Great 
The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality Oral Health services within South Western Sydney Local Health District. This position is responsible for performing the full range of dental assisting duties, providing essential clinical support, and helping ensure the smooth, efficient, and patient‑centred operation of our oral health clinics. You will contribute to exceptional care for eligible clients while working as part of a dedicated and professional oral health team. 
 

Are You the Right Fit? 
The ideal candidate will be a highly organised and detail‑oriented Dental Assistant who delivers safe, efficient and high‑quality clinical support across all aspects of oral health care. They will demonstrate strong competency in preparing clinics and instruments, assisting with procedures, managing materials, and ensuring strict compliance with infection control, WHS, sharps handling, charting and sterilisation protocols. This person will maintain equipment to a high standard, monitor stock levels, identify and report hazards, and meet all radiography preparation and safety requirements. With excellent communication skills and a commitment to patient care, they will confidently support digital and conventional radiography, contribute to effective appointment management, and uphold a clean, safe, and patient‑centred clinic environment. 
 

 

Selection Criteria

1. Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent Dental Assistant qualifications and experience.

4. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment and willingness to travel across SWSLHD clinics to provide relief is required. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
