About the Opportunity

As a Cyber Security Engineering Lead at eHealth NSW, you will help make a real difference in healthcare through safeguarding patient, clinical and corporate systems by ensuring shared cyber security capabilities are delivered consistently across hospitals and health services, while remaining flexible enough to meet local operational and clinical needs.

This role offers the opportunity to operate at the intersection of architecture, operations and governance, you will translate central cyber security strategies into scalable, real-world solutions deployed across diverse and highly integrated technology environments.

In this role, you will:

•    Provide strategic and hands-on security guidance, embedding security requirements into solution design and delivery
•    Work with technical teams to identify emerging threats and vulnerabilities, and provide expert support during cyber incidents
•    Deliver specialist advice to strengthen cyber security policies, procedures and awareness programs in line with evolving risks
•    Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure regulatory alignment and adoption of leading cyber security practices and technologies

This role is internally referred to as Principal Engineer Security Services

About You

•    Tertiary qualifications in Cyber or Information Security, or equivalent experience delivering cyber security controls within large, complex ICT environments
•    Strong knowledge of the ACSC Essential Eight, ISO/IEC 27001, IRAP and NSW Cyber Security Policy, with proven ability to assess risk and provide practical advice
•    Demonstrated experience delivering cyber security projects and/or providing cyber security or risk consulting services
•    Experience working in critical infrastructure or healthcare environments (highly regarded)
•    Proven ability to influence and communicate effectively across governance, technical and operational stakeholders
•    Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and SharePoint
