About the role
We are seeking a Peer Support Worker to join our Community Drug and Alcohol team.
In this role, you will use your personal recovery journey to provide authentic, compassionate support to people accessing our services, promoting collaborative decision‑making, engagement, choice and empowerment throughout their treatment.
With flexible work arrangement, you will collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team and community partners, including NGOs, to deliver effective and planned peer support activities that enhance client outcomes.
The position involves active participation in reflective practice, regular peer supervision, and ongoing professional development through forums, committee meetings, in‑service days, workshops and working groups. Where appropriate, you will contribute to education for health professionals and the wider community by sharing lived‑experience insights that deepen understanding of issues affecting people accessing drug and alcohol services.
