About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Consumer Feedback Support Officer to join our team in this important role supporting the management of consumer feedback processes across the District.

Working closely with the Manager Consumer Feedback and Engagement, you will support investigations and provide advice on complaints, compliments and service improvement suggestions. The role plays a key part in strengthening patient safety, improving service quality and ensuring consumer voices inform healthcare delivery.

As the Consumer Feedback Support Officer, you will:

  • Support investigations into consumer complaints and concerns and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Engage with patients, carers and staff to ensure feedback is managed respectfully and effectively.
  • Provide advice and guidance to staff on consumer feedback processes and risk management.
  • Contribute to open disclosure processes following patient safety incidents.
  • Analyse consumer feedback data to identify trends and opportunities for service improvement.
  • Assist with training and education relating to consumer feedback processes.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies to support investigations and quality outcomes.

About You

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Relevant health-related graduate qualifications or equivalent experience in a consumer relations or feedback management role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks and opportunities for service improvement.
  • Knowledge of legislation, policies and best practice relating to healthcare complaints, privacy, open disclosure and patient safety.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to engage with clinicians, managers, patients and carers.
  • High-level written communication skills and experience preparing investigation reports and documentation.
  • Experience managing projects or contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
  • A current NSW Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel across the Local Health District when required.
