Royal North Shore and Northern Beaches Hospital, Clinical Technology Service

What you'll be doing
The Clinical Technology, Engineering Project Manager will lead the end-to-end transition of clinical engineering services and associated medical equipment between Northern Beaches Hospital and Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD). This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering all aspects of the transition, ensuring continuity of clinical technology support, compliance with standards, and minimal disruption to patient care.The Project Manager will oversee stakeholder engagement, risk management, asset transfer, and integration of clinical engineering operations into the NSLHD governance framework. Success in this role requires strong project management expertise, knowledge of healthcare technology environments, and the ability to manage complex logistics within a multidisciplinary setting. 

CTS is committed to providing high quality, responsive service to health facilities throughout the district. The Clinical Technology, Engineering Project Manager will be primarily based at Northern Beaches Hospital campus, but is required to travel and work at the Royal North Shore Hospital Campus.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria: 

  1. Bachelor's degree in either Biomedical engineering, Electronics/Electrical engineering, Mechanical engineering, or Mechatronic engineering, with a coursework background in electronic, electrical, Anatomy and Physiology. (Qualification must be recognized by Engineers Australia).
  2. Strong knowledge of medical equipment lifecycle management and Australian standards related to medical equipment.
  3. Proven experience in project management (greater than 6 years) within healthcare or clinical technology environments, and proven ability to delivering projects on time and budget.
  4. Proven ability to solve complex problems, prioritise workloads and resources, ability to meet key deadlines and to work independently and as well as part of team.
  5. Proficiency in project management methodologies/certifications.
