About the Opportunity
We’re looking for a passionate Clinical Psychologist to join the multidisciplinary team behind the Elver Program—a trauma-informed mental health service supporting children and young people in Out-of-Home Care across NSW.

Delivered by South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) in partnership with the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ), the Elver Program provides comprehensive mental health and developmental assessments, interventions, and complex case consultations. We work with children in residential care, foster care, and family-based settings—many of whom face barriers to accessing mainstream services.

About the Role:

  • Conduct clinical assessments and deliver individual and group interventions.
  • Collaborate with professionals across psychiatry, nursing, speech pathology, occupational therapy, psychology, and social work.
  • Support care coordination, consultation, and training across diverse settings including clinics, homes, communities, and via telehealth.
  • Prioritise children under 12, Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander children, and those unable to access mainstream services.

What We Offer:

  • A supportive, trauma-informed team environment.
  • Opportunities for supervision, professional development, and learning.
  • A chance to contribute to innovative, culturally responsive care.
  • Some travel required.

If you’re committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable children and young people, we’d love to hear from you.
