Employment with Mid North Coast LHD requires candidates to hold a valid authority to work in Australia (Aust Work Rights Visa). 

What you'll be doing
Provision of high-quality clinical psychology services to adults within the Mid North Coast Local Health District. 
The Alcohol and Other Drug Clinical Psychologist will work closely with the Health Services Manager leading AOD health initiatives (including workforce, clinical care and governance improvements.  

About You
You are a highly experienced Clinical Psychologist with full registration through the Psychology Board of Australia and advanced postgraduate qualifications in a recognised clinical specialty. Drawing on extensive clinical training and supervised practice, you provide comprehensive psychological assessment, diagnosis, counselling, and therapeutic interventions that support adults and families experiencing complex mental health and alcohol and other drug concerns.

You bring significant expertise in working with individuals affected by substance use disorders, applying evidence-based therapeutic approaches to support recovery, enhance wellbeing, and achieve sustainable outcomes. Your ability to formulate complex presentations, deliver targeted interventions, and tailor treatment plans to individual needs ensures the provision of high-quality, client-centred care.

Recognised for your strong leadership capabilities, you contribute positively to multidisciplinary teams through clinical guidance, consultation, and mentorship. You foster collaborative relationships with colleagues, consumers, families, and external stakeholders, using your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and circumstances.

Highly organised and adaptable, you are skilled at managing a varied caseload while maintaining clinical excellence, meeting service demands, and contributing to broader organisational objectives. Your proficiency with clinical information systems, data management platforms, and Microsoft Office applications supports accurate documentation, reporting, and service evaluation. Committed to ongoing professional development and quality care, you bring a compassionate, evidence-based approach to practice, along with the flexibility to travel as required to meet service and community needs.
