Working alongside experienced nursing leaders, educators and clinicians, you'll help foster a collaborative learning culture focused on delivering safe, evidence based and family centred care.

What you'll be doing
As the Clinical Nurse Educator, Paediatrics, you'll deliver and evaluate high quality education programs that strengthen clinical capability, support professional development and promote excellence in patient care.
Design, deliver and evaluate clinical education programs that support best practice and organisational priorities.
Mentor and assess nursing staff, building competence and confidence across all levels of experience.
Facilitate bedside teaching, orientation, mandatory education and ongoing professional development.
Collaborate with nursing leaders and multidisciplinary stakeholders to identify learning needs and implement education strategies.
Lead quality improvement initiatives, maintain clinical expertise and support person centred, safe and effective paediatric care.

Essential Criteria
Registration:Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria
Demonstrated extensive clinical experience and/ or post registration qualification in the relevant speciality and nursing professional development/education.
Demonstrated ability to lead and implement change within the context of best practice clinical care and workplace culture
Demonstrated ability to design, implement and evaluate clinical education at the ward level, and provide support and guidance to ensure an appropriately skilled and qualified nursing and midwifery workforce, working within appropriate models of care.
Demonstrated effective and high level communication skills including negotiation and conflict resolutions skills in addition to proven ability to motivate and engage people in the clinical setting.
Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous improvement whilst ensuring currency of practice in the relevant specialty.
Strong commitment to the on-going development/enhancement of nursing practice within a patient centred, multi-disciplinary clinical environment.
Relevant computer skills including database programmes and data entry.
