About the Opportunity
Come join the Murrumbidgee Local Health District Cancer Services team, providing high-level, patient-centred oncology care while supporting the development of cancer services across the district.
Working across the five CNC domains, you will support patients with complex cancer care needs and strengthen oncology services across the region.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse working towards CNC1 competency in Adult Oncology to further develop specialist and leadership skills, working closely with the MLHD Manager Cancer Services and Innovation, District Oncology CNC and Griffith site management to support the delivery of cancer care services.
In this role you will:
- Deliver advanced, evidence-based oncology nursing care for patients with complex needs
- Develop and evaluate comprehensive care plans in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide expert clinical consultation, education and support to patients, families and staff
- Contribute to service improvement, research and evidence-based practice initiatives
- Support strategic and operational planning for oncology services
- You will also support the delivery of oncology care within a nurse-led clinic model, collaborating with specialist and external cancer services to ensure coordinated care for patients across the region.

About You
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- A Minimum 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience, with approved post-registration qualifications in oncology or cancer care services, or equivalent experience.
- A Demonstrated expertise in oncology or cancer care services, and the ability to manage complex patient care and coordinate multidisciplinary care planning
- Strong clinical leadership and communication skills
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, education and continuous improvement
- Motivation to develop further competencies toward CNC1 practice in Adult Oncology
- A strong understanding of the five Clinical Nurse Consultant domains
