Achieve Something Great
Join our Bone Marrow Transplant team as a Clinical Nurse Consultant (Grade 2) and provide expert clinical leadership and specialist nursing care to patients undergoing complex transplantation treatment. Working collaboratively with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team, you will support high-quality, evidence-based care while contributing to education, service improvement and positive patient outcomes.
- Provide expert clinical advice to, patients / clients, carers and other health care professionals on complex BMTA care needs across Liverpool Hospital.
- To ensure all activities in relation to collection, preservation and administration of Haematopoietic progenitor cells (HPC) are performed in accordance with the National Pathology Accreditation Advisory Council (NPAAC) and Blood and Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy (BMTCT), Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI) standards and National association of testing Authorities (NATA) standards.

- Demonstrated effective communication and inter-personal skills across a variety of mediums and an understanding of the practice development framework
- Proven ability to implement changes and develop direction in clinical practice by the utilisation of evidence based research
- Demonstrated skills in strategic and clinical service planning including an understanding of organisational behaviour, change management and cultural change processes
- Demonstrated skills in clinical teaching, competency in the use of contemporary information systems and experience in the development of specialty education programs
- Demonstrated clinical expertise in patient-centred consultancy with the ability to work independently
Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). At least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in the specialty field. In addition, the employee must have approved postgraduate nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field in which the employee is appointed, or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
