Essential Criteria
Registrations: Current registration as a Registered Midwife with AHPRA
Selection Criteria
Training &Assessment(TAA) qualification or Certificate IV in Workplace Training or relevant post graduate tertiary studies in education or willingness to attain same
Parent/Childbirth education qualification or willingness to attain the same
Demonstrated ability to design, implement and evaluate clinical education at the ward/unit/clinic level.
Extensive recent clinical midwifery experience in Antenatal Care, with a sound knowledge of contemporary midwifery practice.
Demonstrated experience in clinical teaching, utilising adult learning principles.
Demonstrated effective and high level communication and organisational skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills, in addition to proven ability to motivate and engage staff in a clinical setting.
Strong commitment to the on-going development and enhancement of midwifery practice within a women centred, multi-disciplinary clinical environment.
