Sutherland Hospital is seeking a highly motivated, self-driven and enthusiastic Level 1/2 Dietitian to join our team of Dietitians in a part time capacity until November 2026. Two positions are available & an eligibility list will also be created for future vacancies.
The successful occupant of this position will be an integral part of the Dietetic Department and will be responsible for the provision of high quality, evidence-based Nutrition and Dietetics services. The level 1/2 dietitian will have the opportunity to further develop high level clinical skills and knowledge; be involved in quality improvement activities; provide clinical supervision to students on clinical placement as appropriate; attend relevant clinical and department meetings, including ongoing continued professional development. They will be expected to provide Nutrition and Dietetic care to our consumers across the hospital, which may also include the outpatient setting.
Sutherland Hospital is a 375-bed major metropolitan hospital and teaching hospital. The Sutherland Hospital campus offers a comprehensive range of inpatient services to Sutherland Shire residents, including surgical, medical, emergency, maternity, child, youth and family, critical care, aged care, rehabilitation, mental health and community-based services.

Selection Criteria:
- Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award
- Recent and relevant experience in a comparable acute hospital setting
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to proactively engage with patients/clients to enhance service delivery
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated ability to exercise independent professional judgement on routine matters commensurate with years of experience
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and the application of evidence based practice
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning
