Where you'll be working
Based at Blacktown Community Health Centre, you’ll be part of Western Sydney’s dedicated Chronic & Complex Allied Health team delivering integrated, community-focused care. Our service supports older people to restore or maintain independence and provides compassionate community palliative care for clients in the final 3–6 months of life.

What you'll be doing 
In this dynamic Allied Health Assistant role, you will support Allied Health Professionals to deliver high-quality, person-centred care to clients with chronic and complex health needs. You’ll play a key role in improving service efficiency and enhancing client outcomes.

·       Assist with therapy programs and client education under supervision

·       Support rehabilitation and functional maintenance interventions

·       Complete clinical documentation and communicate with the care team

·       Provide administrative and resource support to improve service delivery

·       Contribute to student supervision and your own professional development

Essential Criteria:

·       Qualification: Minimum Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance/relevant qualification or higher

 

Selection Criteria: 

1.     Demonstrated understanding of the health and associated care needs for people with complex, chronic and/or aged conditions residing in the community.

2.     Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

3.     Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload delegated by supervising allied health professional/s, meet deadlines and complete activities within scope of practice, seeking assistance as required.

4.     Demonstrated ability to work as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team.

5.     Demonstrated ability to work effectively with families from different psychosocial, socio economic or culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

6.     Demonstrated computer literacy skills with ability to use electronic medical records, Microsoft Office and email applications.

7.     Current NSW Drivers Licence and willingness to use for work purposes.
