What you'll be doing 
As Chief Wardsperson, you will provide operational and people leadership across wardsperson and hospital assistant services, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety and patient support are consistently delivered.

·       Coordinate daily wardsperson and hospital assistant activities to meet patient care needs

·       Lead, coach and performance-manage staff to achieve high standards and accountability

·       Liaise closely with Nurse Unit Managers to align ward routines with clinical priorities

·       Oversee resources, equipment, rosters and records in a compliant and cost-effective manner

·       Drive quality improvement, risk management and a positive safety culture across the service

Selection Criteria: 

1.     Demonstrated work experience in a multidisciplinary team and work unsupervised.

2.     Ability to understand and follow WHS policies and procedures. Provide training to team members on these processes.

3.     Excellent Customer service skills including written and verbal communication skills, be able to provide assistance to all customers who require help and direction.

4.     Demonstrated experience in rostering and assign staff to other areas as required.

5.     Knowledgeable in computer skills, Microsoft office applications including word and Outlook. Knowledge of task allocation logging system.

6.     Acute hospital experience in a supervisory role.
