Achieve Something Great
The role will lead the implementation of the Alliance in close collaboration with Executive teams across multiple organisations, ensuring strong coordination and shared strategic direction. It will also oversee the planning and delivery of robust research governance for all positions and projects operating under the Research Alliance, maintaining high standards of compliance and accountability. In addition, the role will drive the strategic expansion of the Alliance by identifying and engaging new partners to strengthen its reach, impact, and long‑term sustainability.

The ideal candidate is a recognised research leader with impact at the state, national, or international level, supported by PhD qualifications and a strong track record in delivering large‑scale research projects and studies. They bring exceptional change management capability, with the ability to influence, motivate, and inspire others while driving innovation and improvement across complex environments.
Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
1. Qualified academic, medical, nursing or allied health professional with post-doctoral research related qualifications or equivalent experience.
2. Recognised leader in research at the state, national and/or international level.
3. Proven ability to lead and manage complex research programs aligned with strategic health priorities.
4. Evidence of outstanding scholarly activity of an international standard in research and a demonstrated ongoing commitment to one or more programs of research.
5. Do you have a current Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2)? if you hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
