Are you a compassionate and experienced Social Worker passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and families affected by abuse and neglect? If so, we invite you to join our dedicated Child Protection Counselling Service (CPCS) team within the Violence, Abuse and Neglect (VAN) service stream. This is your chance to contribute to meaningful change, supporting vulnerable children and their families through expert, trauma-informed care.
About the Role
As a senior clinician, you will provide specialist counselling and casework to children and families where Risk of Significant Harm (ROSH) has been identified due to domestic violence, physical abuse, or neglect. Using trauma-informed, client-centred approaches, you will deliver medium to long-term interventions that support recovery, enhance safety, and strengthen parenting capacity.
In addition to direct client work, you will play a key leadership role within the CPCS team. This includes providing professional supervision and mentorship to junior staff, and contributing to service development, evaluation, and quality improvement initiatives. Your clinical leadership will help ensure the highest standards of care and foster a supportive team environment.
Collaboration is essential to this role. You will work closely with Community Services, Joint Child Protection Response Programs, schools, police, and non-government organisations to deliver coordinated and effective support to families in need.
