This is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks’ notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.

About the Opportunity
This is a temporary part-time job-sharing role in the area of acute neurology and general medical inpatient units. This position is based at Wyong Hospital, but can be used to support areas of acute neurology and general medicine across the CCLHD in line with demand.
As a Senior Physiotherapist, you will provide advanced, evidence-informed clinical care to patients, families, and carers while leading and mentoring other physiotherapy staff and students. Your role will influence service delivery, enhance patient outcomes, and support continuous improvement.
In this role you will:
- Provide high-level physiotherapy care for complex cases requiring advanced practice skills.
- Exercise independent professional judgement to solve problems and manage challenging cases.
- Identify, implement, and evaluate initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of clinical services.
- Supervise and mentor Level 1/2 physiotherapists, allied health assistants, and students.
- Ensure care delivery aligns with professional, legal, ethical, and evidence-based standards.

About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Physiotherapy and current AHPRA registration.
- Proven ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience providing clinical supervision, education, and mentoring to physiotherapy staff and students.
- Demonstrated advanced reasoning, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Commitment to evidence-informed practice, continuous improvement, and professional development.
