We’re looking for a knowledgeable and forward-thinking Education Pharmacist to take a lead role in delivering specialist pharmacy services across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. This role suits a dedicated professional who leads with integrity—guiding, mentoring, and supporting junior pharmacists and pharmacy support staff to foster excellence, strengthen team capability, and deliver top-tier, patient-centred care.

About the Role

You are a dynamic and experienced pharmacy professional to provide leadership, coordination, and strategic management across a defined practice area. In this role, you’ll drive the development and performance of clinical, operational, and workforce components of the Pharmacy service, ensuring key goals are met and high standards are upheld.

The Education Pharmacist will serve as a specialist clinical leader, mentor, and resource to fellow healthcare professionals, supporting capability-building and best-practice care within professional, legal, and ethical frameworks. A key part of this role involves initiating and evaluating continuous improvement activities to enhance medication use effectiveness and safety.

Working collaboratively with Pharmacy colleagues and external stakeholders, you will lead programs that promote quality use of medicines, education, and innovation in service delivery. You’ll also provide expert review, dispensing, compounding, and validation of medications to ensure timely and appropriate therapies supporting both patient outcomes and hospital flow.

About You

  •  Registered as a practicing pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), with a high level of broad generalist and/or specialist knowledge Registered as a practicing pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), with a high level of broad generalist and/or specialist knowledge.
  •  Unencumbered driver’s license and ability to travel across the District and to other external sites as required
