Central Coast Local Health District is seeking an accomplished and contemporary Operational Nurse Manager (ONM) – Grade 5 to provide inspirational leadership, operational oversight and professional direction across our nursing and midwifery services.
About the Opportunity
As an Operational Nurse Manager, you will play a pivotal role in translating organisational strategy into effective operational outcomes. Working closely with Hospital Executives, Directors, Managers and multidisciplinary stakeholders, you will lead service planning, performance improvement, workforce development and change initiatives within your portfolio.
This position plays a key role in leading operational excellence, strengthening workforce capability and delivering safe, high-quality patient care. In this role you will:
- Lead operational excellence across complex clinical services, driving safe, high-quality and person-centred care.
- Inspire and develop people through contemporary leadership, coaching, mentoring and workforce development.
- Drive performance and improvement using data, KPIs and innovative strategies to strengthen service outcomes.
- Build collaborative partnerships with executives, multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders to deliver strategic priorities.

About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- Proven senior nursing leadership experience in a complex clinical environment, with a strong focus on safe, high-quality patient care.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in health management, or working towards these, and current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrated capability in operational, workforce and financial management, with experience using data and KPIs to drive performance and improvement.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate and lead across multidisciplinary and stakeholder groups.
- A strong commitment to contemporary practice and workforce development, with the ability to coach, mentor and inspire teams through change and continuous improvement.
