Central Coast Local Health District is seeking applications for experienced Nurse Managers to join the Nursing Leadership team in the roles of Site Nurse Manager/After Hours Manager working a rotating roster. Multiple opportunities are available including permanent, temporary, and casual positions for highly motivated and experienced nursing leaders who are committed to delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centred care and driving service excellence across the District. Experience with Patient flow, Staffing, Rostering and After-hours hospital management desired.
About The Opportunity
The role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality clinical services within professional boundaries, ethical standards, cultural respect, and scope of practice.
In this role, you will provide visible leadership and role modelling in professional clinical service delivery, offering expert advice, guidance, and mentoring to nursing and multidisciplinary staff, ensure effective systems and processes are established, implemented, and evaluated at service level to support safe, timely, and patient-centred care, lead and support initiatives that optimise patient flow, continuity of care, and clinical outcomes.
As a Team Player, you will collaborate with Nursing Executive, Clinical Nurse Unit Managers, Clinical Nurse Consultants (CNCs), Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNSs), nursing staff, multidisciplinary teams, and consumers to ensure excellence in patient care delivery. To provide a safe workplace, you will analyse clinical and organisational risks and implement appropriate mitigation, escalation, and management strategies, facilitate consultancy, review, and continuous improvement of systems and processes that support safe and efficient patient care.

About You
CCLHD is looking for professionals who have:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in health management or equivalent work experience, OR a combination of study and work experience
- Relevant post-graduate experience in an acute hospital setting
- Demonstrated understanding of contemporary health care delivery issues impacting on the delivery of emergency services.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate, inspire and manage staff to achieve service and professional goals through recognised change management processes
