This is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.
Clinical Nurse Educator

We are seeking a motivated, experienced, and passionate Clinical Nurse Educator who is ready to make a meaningful impact by leading, supporting, and developing nursing staff through education, mentorship, and clinical guidance, while fostering a culture of learning, safety, and continuous improvement to ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based, and patient-centred care across the hospital setting.
About the Role
As a Clinical Nurse Educator within our service, you will play an essential role in supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality, and evidence-based care by developing, mentoring, and guiding nursing staff to meet the needs of patients with diverse and complex presentations. You will:
- Deliver education, clinical support, and mentorship to nursing staff to enhance capability and practice standards.
- Develop and facilitate evidence-based learning programs aligned with organisational priorities and clinical best practice.
- Support competency assessment, clinical supervision, and professional development across the nursing workforce.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives that promote safe, effective, and patient-centred care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support consistent, high-quality clinical education and service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of education activities, staff competencies, and professional development

About You
You will bring a strong commitment to high-quality clinical education and a passion for supporting nurses to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centred care. You will have:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and relevant postgraduate qualifications (or working towards).
- Demonstrated clinical expertise and experience in a hospital or relevant acute care setting.
- Strong skills in education, coaching, and supporting the professional development of nursing staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence a range of stakeholders.
- A commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and fostering a positive learning culture.
