About the Opportunity
As a Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) you will provide expert clinical nursing and leadership, advise and recommend on all aspects of nursing across service groups, multidisciplinary teams and target populations. As a CNC you will contribution to all matters relating to high quality care and safe nursing practice and work collaboratively to formulate and implement policy, guide practice development, and engage in education and research activities
In this role you will:
- Provide a complex client-centred consultancy practice within a mixed clinical environment.
- Undertake primary responsibility to formalise ongoing clinical supervision processes for Registered Nurses (RN), Enrolled Nurses (EN) and Assistants in Nursing (AIN).
Champion, educate and lead other health professionals to improve organ and tissue donation rates and outcomes as part of a team.

About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- A registered nurse who has at least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in a critical care field and a post registration qualification in critical care specialty.
- Demonstrated communication skills and proven ability to implement change across a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to work on call after hours and weekends at sites within the NSW Organ Donation Network across NSW.
- Proven clinical leadership skills in quality, research and/or education and demonstrated critical thinking capabilities.
