Nepean Hospital is seeking an experienced and driven Business Operations Manager to join the Medical Imaging and Nuclear Medicine Imaging Department. This key leadership role plays a critical part in supporting high-quality, patient-centred diagnostic services within one of the region’s busiest tertiary hospitals.
The Business Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the operational, financial and administrative functions of the department, ensuring services run efficiently, sustainably and in alignment with organisational objectives. Working closely with clinical leaders, senior management and multidisciplinary teams, the role provides strategic and operational leadership across workforce management, budgeting, performance reporting, procurement, compliance and service planning. The position requires a strong focus on continuous improvement, risk management and the effective use of resources to support safe and timely patient care.

What you will bring to the role
- Tertiary qualification in Health Management or Business Administration or related field, and/or equivalent experience in a management role in a public health organisation.
- Proven ability to lead high performing teams, instilling a customer service culture.
- Extensive experience in the management of contracts, finance, administration, and information management functions in a public health environment.
- Demonstrated experience in dealing effectively with external service providers including experience in the development of specifications, evaluation of tenders and management of contracts for service delivery.
- Demonstrated experience in managing the planning and implementation of complex projects and change management, achieving intended business outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, monitor and reach predicted outcomes to strategic, operational, implementation and project plans.
- Experience and ability to build relationships at a senior level with highly developed negotiation, influencing and delegation skills.
- Highly developed skills in the use of information technology, business software packages and data analytics, with the ability to analyse, synthesise and clearly communicate complex information to a variety of audiences in a variety of formats.
