About this role
The Associate Director, Finance Strategy & Corporate Services is responsible leading the Finance Strategy business partnering function, providing strategic financial advice, analysis, and oversight to support effective financial management across the Ministry of Health and Health System Support Group branches. It is responsible for guiding a team, managing financial planning and reporting, influencing key stakeholders, and ensuring strong governance, performance, and service delivery. The position supports executive decision making by delivering expert advice on complex financial issues and driving improvements in financial and organisational processes.

What you'll be doing
Provide strategic and financial advice, analysis and insights to support effective financial management across the Ministry of Health and the Health System Support Group branches. We undertake a variety of key functions, including:
Lead and guide HSSG and Ministry of Health business units to achieve strong financial management, efficiency, and organisational outcomes.
Business partnering with Ministry of Health and HSSG stakeholders to support strategic priorities and health system outcomes
Delivery of expert financial advice and analysis, including on financial performance, budget management, compliance and forecasting and reporting requirements to enable robust decision-making
Budget planning and management to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and Government priorities
Oversee all financial operations, including accurate and timely reporting in line with NSW Health guidelines.
