About the Opportunity

Lead a contemporary People & Culture business partnering, advisory and consumer feedback model across NSW Ambulance, creating an environment that delivers People & Culture strategies and initiatives that will complement NSW Ambulance's strategic direction, through workforce and consumer engagement and insights.

About You

You are a senior People & Culture leader with strong generalist expertise, able to provide credible, high-quality advice across the employee lifecycle in a complex and regulated environment. You have demonstrated experience leading and evolving a business partnering model, translating organisational strategy into practical workforce initiatives that deliver measurable outcomes.

You can partner with and influence senior leaders to support effective decision-making and manage competing priorities in an operational service context. You bring a track record of leading complex organisation-wide People & Culture initiatives and projects, using workforce insights to shape solutions and evaluate impact.

You have strong employee relations capability, including managing escalated and sensitive matters and applying legislation, policy and procedural fairness to mitigate people risk. As a collaborative coach and people leader, you developed HR Professionals, ensure consistent customer-focused service delivery, and communicate with exceptional judgement, negotiation skill, integrity and inclusion.

Question 1: Tell us about a time you brought together multiple stakeholder groups (e.g., operations, unions, specialist P&C teams) to deliver an agreed workforce outcome. How did you build alignment and manage differences?

 

Question 2: Explain how you have used workforce data and contemporary P&C practices to shape and deliver a people plan aligned to organisational strategy. Include the data/inputs you used (e.g., engagement, turnover, capability gaps), how you prioritised initiatives, how you measured impact?

Conditions

  • There is no entitlement to Transferred Employees Benefit (TEB) or travel allowance associated with this opportunity.
  • No NSW Ambulance accommodation is provided.
  • Employee’s currently undertaking an Extended Care Paramedic or Intensive Care Paramedic consolidation periods are eligible to apply however will need to complete all training and return of service obligations before accepting any relief/acting opportunities.
  • Employee’s currently undertaking a Special Operations Team (SOT) consolidation period are not eligible to apply for positions other than SOT positions. This includes positions offered via merit selection, transfer lists or later transfer mechanism, expressions of interest or secondments.
