Are you a Certificate III Assistant in Nursing (Acute Care) qualified, or a Diploma of Nursing student ready to gain valuable experience in a hospital setting?
We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic AINs and Diploma Nursing students to join our team on a casual basis across a range of acute clinical settings throughout the district, supporting patient care during SDPR implementation.
This is a great opportunity to consolidate your skills, build confidence in a real-world environment, and gain hands-on experience alongside experienced clinicians.

About the Role
As an Assistant in Nursing, you will work under the supervision of Registered Nurses and Midwives to support patient care. You will have the opportunity to:
- Provide patient care within your scope of practice
- Apply and strengthen your clinical skills in an acute care environment
- Develop essential communication and teamwork capabilities
- Gain exposure to a variety of wards and clinical areas
- Build your professional network within a supportive healthcare team
What We’re Looking For
To be eligible, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
- Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Acute Care) OR
- Currently enrolled in a Diploma of Nursing, with core units completed and a minimum of 80 hours of clinical placement completed
You will also demonstrate:
- A genuine commitment to patient-centred care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A willingness to learn and contribute positively to the team
Availability requirement:
Applicants must be available mid to late May for a 3-week period, with the opportunity to transfer into the casual pool following this placement.
University Nursing Students (2nd or 3rd Year)
If you are currently enrolled in 2nd or 3rd year of a Bachelor of Nursing at University, please note this campaign is not applicable.
