About Your Role

Provision of safe, compassionate, person centred care through the comprehensive assessment of care and support needs of older people and their carers. The ACAT assessor will also assess the funding needs of residential aged care recipients using the Australian Aged Care Classification (AN-ACC) tool.

In evaluating the restorative, physical, medical, psychological, cultural and social dimensions of the clients care needs; older people can be offered choice of supports available, while determining eligibility for approval / access to subsidised Commonwealth services as per the Aged Care Act (1997).
