Hawkesbury District Health Service is a teaching hospital in Windsor NSW, providing acute, community and allied health services for the local community and surrounding districts. The service provides 24-hour emergency, medical, surgical, diagnostic, maternity, neonatal, paediatric, palliative, intensive and coronary care services.
The Administration Manager plays a pivotal leadership role in overseeing the Patient Services Department at Hawkesbury District Hospital. This position is responsible for the strategic planning, direction, and coordination of administrative functions, including workforce and resource management, across the facility and its associated services.
Working closely with Clinical and Revenue teams, the Administration Manager will build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships to support the development and implementation of initiatives that enhance service delivery and optimise revenue outcomes. A key focus of the role is the analysis and evaluation of data to inform decision-making and deliver accurate, timely reporting. The successful candidate will drive performance across priority areas such as waitlist management, outpatient clinic operations, revenue optimisation, data quality, and overall administrative service delivery, ensuring a strong focus on customer experience.
The Administration Manager also supports the Business Manager in continuous quality improvement initiatives and ensures the hospital meets all relevant legislative, policy, accreditation, and audit requirements.

What you will bring to the role
- Tertiary qualifications in Management, Business, Health Management or equivalent demonstrated experience, sound professional knowledge and an understanding of business processes within a health service setting.
- Demonstrated experience in the management and supervision of staff including, rostering, recruitment, performance management and leave management.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to negotiate and communicate with different levels of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated knowledge of elective surgery waitlist management relating to the NSW Health Policy Elective Surgery Access PD2022_01
- Knowledge of all iPM modules and other patient management databases.
- Demonstrated proficiency in use of Microsoft Office applications and other corporate applications.
- High level competence in preparing and writing document/reports preparation, including analysis of findings and development of recommendations
