About this role

The Analyst Activity assists in the provision of high quality, timely and insightful analytics, forecasts and reports that enable the Ministry of Health to be an effective purchaser of health services. The position supports MOH and LHD activities aimed at improving Activity Based Funding in NSW.

Crown Clerk 7/8, starting salary from $113,574 - $125,720 p.a. plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.

What you'll be doing

  • Extracting and cleaning health data from various sources such as electronic health records.
  • Conducting statistical analyses to identify health trends, risks, and outcomes.
  • Developing clear reports and visualisations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Meeting with stakeholders to discuss data insights and project goals.

About you
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:

  1. Contemporary knowledge and skills in advanced analytics, activity modelling, forecasting and casemix theory and practice in health.
  2. Conceptual and analytical thinking skills and the capacity to develop solutions for a range of complex analytical and reporting issues.
  3.  Well developed oral and written communication skills.
  4. Ability to pursue challenging goals, successfully manage competing priorities, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  5. Capacity to work independently, collaboratively with other professionals and in a team environment.
