About the role
An exciting opportunity exists to join a team promoting quality of life and dignity for those with a life limiting illness.
In this role, you will join a multi-disciplinary health care team committed to providing culturally safe end of life and palliative care to Aboriginal people with a life limiting illness across Western NSW Local Health District. You will work closely with a range of health care providers and services to support clients and their families and carers.
As a telehealth enabled team, you will provide services via a range of modalities, including face to face and virtual.
The Districtwide Specialist Palliative Care Service is a consultation service team, providing care in the community, residential aged care facilities and inpatient hospital settings. The team is comprised of specialist Registered Nurses, Allied Health Professionals and Medical Officers. You will be supported to develop your educational and clinical expertise by the teams Clinical Nurse Educator.
