This is a position identified for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander People and is targeted to persons of the Female sex on the basis of a genuine occupational qualification under S14(d) and S31 (2)(h) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.
We need someone to bring their cultural capability and lived experience as an Aboriginal person to this role. As part of the recruitment process, we will ask you to provide documentation to confirm your Aboriginality and your cultural capability will also be assessed through the recruitment process.
The position is 24 hours/week (while there are occasional set clinic times, we do allow some flexibility with how these hours are spread across the week, including flexible starting and finishing times to suit yours and your family needs)

Selection Criteria:
- This is a position identified for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people on the basis of a genuine occupational qualification under section 14(d) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977. Applicants will be required to provide confirmation of Aboriginality as part of the recruitment process.
- Being Female is a genuine occupational qualification for this position as described under Section 31 (2)(h) of the Anti-Discrimination Act, 1977 (NSW).
- Work experience or qualifications in health or community services or related areas (or a willingness to undertake training supported by the organisation).
- Knowledge of challenges faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in accessing health care and a willingness to engage with communities living in South Eastern Sydney Local Health District.
- Computer skills, including using Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, Powerpoint and Outlook).
- Demonstrated ability to organise tasks, assign priorities and meet deadlines as well as demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to work with community and other organisations
- Willingness to travel across the District.
