Employment with Mid North Coast LHD requires candidates to hold a valid authority to work in Australia (Aust Work Rights Visa). 

What you'll be doing
To provide flexible, holistic and culturally sensitive health services to Aboriginal clients and the community to achieve better health outcomes and better access to health services for Aboriginal people within the Mid North Coast Local Health District.

About You
You are an Aboriginal person who proudly identifies with my community and is accepted as such, supported by formal recognition through a letter of Aboriginality. My heritage and lived experience provide me with a strong foundation for working in Aboriginal health, where cultural understanding and respect are essential.
You hold (or am working towards) a Certificate III in Aboriginal Primary Health Care, equipping me with the skills and knowledge to contribute meaningfully to the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal individuals, families, and communities. You have a deep understanding of Aboriginal culture and the historical contexts that continue to influence health outcomes today, alongside awareness of relevant state and national Aboriginal health policies and strategies.
Your interpersonal skills allow me to build trust and communicate effectively with community members, while also collaborating with health professionals and service providers. you are committed to upholding confidentiality, ethical practice, duty of care, and mandatory reporting requirements in all aspects of my work.
Above all, you are passionate about improving health outcomes for Aboriginal people, guided by respect for culture, community, and the principles of primary health care.

Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s.  These awards are available at http://www.health.nsw.gov.au/careers/conditions/pages/default.aspx.
