Where you'll be working:
Population and Community Health (PaCH) is part of South Eastern Sydney Local Health District.
PaCH provides community health services that give care to individuals, families and carers, as well as population health services that focus on the whole community or key groups within the community.
PaCH's services are provided at the District's hospitals, community-based facilities including child and family health centres, community health centres and specialist clinics. We work with other service providers across South Eastern Sydney Local Health District, including hospitals and mental health services.

The Role:
Provide high level speciality support for the management of the Youth Health Program and the Equity and Prevention Service to achieve business and service objectives.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide effective management and support
for District wide initiatives that develop capacity of services and programs to respond to the health needs of young people aged 12-25 in SESLHD.
The position leads and supports a range of capacity building, consumer engagement, strategic planning and health promotion projects and initiatives that aim to improve health outcomes and service access for young people in SESLHD.
The position functions as a point of coordination across SESLHD services and programs who work with people aged 12-25 years and has a focus on improving equity for young people experiencing disadvantage

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in health or social sciences or relevant equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience.
- Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills
- Demonstrated high level analytical and problem-solving skills that lead to the development of innovative solutions to meet workplace needs
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience relevant to youth health, including the developmental needs of young people, key health issues and priorities, relevant policies, and best practice approaches to equitable, integrated, and strategic delivery of youth health services.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior management and other key stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience in program/project management and strategic planning, including effective health related projects with target populations, communities experiencing disadvantage, and in key health and community settings.
- Demonstrated experience in facilitating workforce programs including high level facilitation, presentation, training and consultation skills
- Current drivers licence with a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position
