What you'll be doing
As the Preventative Maintenance Coordinator, you will develop, coordinate and continuously improve preventative maintenance programs that maximise asset performance, extend equipment life and reduce reactive maintenance across the Local Health District. You'll use maintenance planning principles, asset management systems and stakeholder collaboration to ensure reliable, compliant and efficient maintenance delivery.

• Plan, schedule and coordinate preventative maintenance activities across hospital assets and infrastructure.
• Prepare and manage detailed maintenance work requests for internal trades and external contractors.
• Monitor maintenance progress, resolve scheduling issues and report on program performance and asset reliability.
• Maintain accurate asset data, plant registers and maintenance documentation within AFM Online to support informed decision-making.
• Partner with Asset Services, maintenance teams and contractors to strengthen preventative maintenance strategies and drive continuous improvement.

How to Apply

1. Qualifications in facilities management and/or equivalent extensive experience in building fabric and services preventative maintenance planning in a complex building environment across multiple facilities.
2. Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in preventive maintenance principles and practices; planning methods and tools, including planning and scheduling software including AFM Online.
3. Proven skills in effectively managing contractor performance and compliance.
4. Demonstrated experience in project management including critical path planning and resource management with the ability to work on a multitude of tasks while meeting deadlines.
5. Demonstrated excellence in maintenance planning and analytics with the ability to use performance metrics, PM compliance, schedule compliance, backlog, efficiency, and labour utilisation along with strong proficiency in Windows applications.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Proven skills in strong two-way verbal and written communication skills including the ability to listen, explain, facilitate and negotiate effectively.
8. Demonstrated commitment to quality customer service and continuous improvement strategies.
