WNSWLHD – Visiting Medical Officer – Interventional Cardiologist – Orange – Apply via eCredential

1. Registration (or eligible for registration) with the Medical Board of Australia.
2. Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident, or eligible for sponsorship as a permanent resident.
3. Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or other specialist recognition as provided for in the Staff Specialist (State) Award or under the Health Insurance Act 1973.
4. Demonstrated technical and professional competence as a Consultant Cardiologist, and in the subspecialty practice of Interventional Cardiology, with clinical hospital experience within the last two years sufficient to meet CSANZ guidelines for both training and maintenance of standards in Interventional Cardiology in a rural setting. Ability to provide afterhours transoesophageal echo.
5. Demonstrated participation in, and commitment to, quality assurance activities relevant to Interventional Cardiology practice.
6. Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership roles.
7. Commitment to equitable participation in both general cardiology and a sub-specialty interventional oncall roster with other Consultant Cardiologists, as required.
8. Current appointment as a major metropolitan referral cardiac centre with sufficient PCI caseload to fulfil CSANZ guidelines for maintenance of Interventional accreditation.
