Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. Make a difference in patient care as a Weekend Pharmacist at Nepean Hospital. Join a collaborative patient care team, delivering clinical pharmacy services that enhance medication safety and support best practice therapeutics across the patient journey.

In this role, you will ensure medication accuracy at transitions of care, including admission, inpatient treatment and discharge, while building strong links with community pharmacists and general practitioners. You will also provide after-hours and on-call pharmacy services and participate in rostered afternoon shifts.

What you will bring to the role

 

  1. Tertiary qualifications in Pharmacy and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
  2. Demonstrated post graduate clinical experience in a health care setting
  3. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  4. Ability to prioritise workloads, work independently and within an inter-professional team environment
  5. Demonstrated high level of organisational and time management skills
  6. Demonstrated commitment to professional development, continuing education and research
  7. Computer literacy with experience in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and/or Access) and Pharmacy Inventory and Dispensing programs
