Remuneration: $31.25 - $31.46 per week + 12% Superannuation + Salary Packaging

- Play an important role in supporting patient care, including preparing and transporting patients to and from operating theatres.
- Assist in maintaining efficient patient flow across the perioperative environment through strong organisation and teamwork.
- Provide professional, courteous support to patients, staff, and visitors at all times.
- Contribute to a high-performing team by remaining calm, reliable, and attentive in a fast-paced clinical setting.

An Ideal candidate would:
- Demonstrate strong patient care skills, with the ability to safely prepare, transfer, and assist patients using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and infection control, including correct use of PPE, handling of linen, and preparation of patient beds.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the wider perioperative team, showing professionalism and empathy at all times.
- Remain calm and responsive in a dynamic environment, supporting emergency situations and assisting the team to maintain efficient service flow.
Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
- Experience and/or willingness to learn new skills to support Perioperative services by appropriately preparing patients and beds to ensure patients are safely transferred from Perioperative Unit to Operating Theatres in a timely manner.
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication with the ability to manage tasks efficiently.
- Demonstrated ability to collaboratively and effectively commit to teamwork.
Adherence to Manual Handling, Safe Work Practices and Infection Prevention practices and policies and demonstrated basic computer skills including knowledge of hospital information systems
