The Wardsperson role in the Emergency Department offers a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference every day in a fast‑paced, people‑focused environment. As a valued member of a supportive multidisciplinary team, you’ll help ensure patients are moved safely, cared for with dignity, and supported during some of their most challenging moments
- You’ll work within a dedicated Patient Support Services team, collaborating closely with nurses, allied health staff, and clinical support personnel.
- The team is known for its strong communication, teamwork, and commitment to patient safety.
- Wardspersons are essential to the smooth operation of the hospital and Emergency ensuring patients are transferred safely, spaces are prepared, and staff are supported in delivering high quality care.
- Develop and implement safe patient handling practices, ensuring comfort and dignity during transfers and movements.
- Apply safe manual handling techniques and follow work health and safety principles to protect yourself and others.
