Selection Criteria

Medical qualifications eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Paediatrics with Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Paediatrics and Child Health Division).
Completed forensic medicine training (or be enrolled and studying towards forensic medicine qualifications within 6 months of commencing in the role.
Appropriate knowledge and clinical experience to practice as a Senior Medical Practitioner in child abuse and neglect including child sexual assault.
Ability to work harmoniously and effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment and with a wide range of stakeholders, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
Demonstrated understanding of and ability to respond appropriately to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and patients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
Demonstrated knowledge of quality improvement methodologies and experience in initiating and implementing changes to improve clinical service delivery and outcomes, models of care, evidence based practice and practice development.
Demonstrated willingness and ability to lead and provide clinical supervision including the ability to provide education, vision and research would be viewed favourably.
Demonstrated behaviours which align with the NSW Health CORE values.
