Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking experienced Visiting Medical Officers in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery to join our team at Concord Repatriation General Hospital!
 

We are looking for a Visiting Medical Officer in Plastics & Reconstructive Surgery. The primary purpose of the role of Visiting Medical Officer in Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery Department and Hospital as required. 
  
The Visiting Medical Officer in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery will have sub-specialty skills in microsurgical reconstruction, breast reconstruction and complex reconstruction. 
  
The Visiting Medical Officer will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.
 

Medical practitioner, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Applicants must have Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) with recognised qualifications in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award.

     

Position is currently available. In addition, applicants expecting to be awarded their Fellowship within two months from the beginning of the 2026 Clinical Year on 2 February 2026, may be considered.

     

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Public Hospitals Visiting Medical Officer Determination.
