About the Opportunity
Liverpool Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Vascular Sonographer to join our dynamic specialist vascular diagnostic service. This full-time, permanent position is classified as Radiographer Level 3 Grade 1 or Cardiac Technologist Grade 2, offering a rewarding opportunity to work in one of NSW’s busiest and most advanced ultrasound units. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality non-invasive vascular diagnosis to both inpatients and outpatients, using state-of-the-art equipment in a supportive and collaborative environment.
As a Vascular Sonographer, you will play a vital role in patient care by performing and interpreting a wide range of vascular studies, contributing to accurate diagnoses and treatment planning. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in vascular ultrasound, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to continuous professional development. What You'll be Doing
Provision of a comprehensive tertiary level specialist vascular ultrasound service to the Department of Vascular Surgery and to work along with other sonographic and medical staff to provide an accurate high standard diagnostic and clinical vascular ultrasound service to Liverpool Health Service.

Liverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south-western Sydney, providing services to the local government area of Liverpool City Council as well as district services to residents and visitors in the area. It also provides a range of state-wide services in areas such as critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care and brain injury rehabilitation.
The Hospital provides a health service of international standing, with 23 operating theatres, capacity for 877 beds, diagnostic and imaging services, emergency and trauma care, maternity, paediatric, cancer care, mental health, ambulatory care, allied health and medical and surgical services from birth to aged care.
Liverpool Hospital is currently undergoing a major redevelopment. The $790 million Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct (LHAP) project will provide enhanced facilities and an increased capacity to meet future significant population growth for South Western Sydney.
Liverpool Hospital is a principal referral and teaching Hospital of the UNSW Sydney and the Western Sydney University and also welcome students from over 20 universities and colleges.

- Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science or Bachelor of Applied Science, or a Health related Degree, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the Employer. As well as, Post Graduate Degree in Sonography or Qualifications or Competencies deemed equivalent by the Employer and recognised by the ASAR.
- ASAR vascular accredited sonographer.
- Extensive experience in vascular ultrasound and physiological assessment preferably at a tertiary level.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in teaching and research
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
