What you’ll be doing
You will provide trauma-informed crisis counselling and support to children, adults and families affected by sexual assault, including participation in a 24/7 on-call roster. You will work closely with medical, nursing, police and community partners to coordinate care, advocacy and forensic follow-up. You will also maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to a collaborative, multidisciplinary response to crisis presentations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide trauma-informed crisis counselling and casework to victims of sexual assault and their non-offending family members.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call roster to respond to urgent crisis presentations.
- Coordinate care with medical and nursing staff, including support during forensic examinations and follow-up.
- Work collaboratively with Police, Community Services and other agencies as part of joint responses to child sexual assault cases
- Travel to outreach locations as required to deliver services across the district.

Criteria
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria
Relevant qualification as a Registered Nurse, Sexual Assault Worker, Social Worker or approved pathway and evidence of registration of
membership (or eligibility) with Australian recognised peak body.
- Demonstrated experience in trauma-informed crisis counselling and working with people affected by sexual assault. Current Driver’s license
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary and interagency team.
- Current Class C Driver’s Licence and New South Wales Working With Children Check
