VAN Aboriginal Family Wellbeing & Violence Prevention Co-ordinator (Hlth Mgr Lvl 2) - Perm Full Time

Selection Criteria: 

1. Applicants for this position must be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent. This is a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised by Section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977, NSW). All applicants must supply a letter of Aboriginality signed under the Common Seal from a recognised incorporated Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community organisation.
2. Relevant tertiary qualification or substantial work experience in the field of family violence and policy implementation.
3. Demonstrated understanding of the NSW Health system and its relationships at a local level with key partners (e.g. other Government Agencies, Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Sector and NGOs).
4. Highly developed communication, interpersonal and presentation skills particularly in the context of politically and publicly sensitive operational environment.
5. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with health services, NGOs, community organisations and other government departments.
6. Proven ability to work as a member of a team, and also to work independently, highly developed organisational skills and the ability to produce quality work within specified deadlines.
7. Demonstrated technical knowledge of information technology office systems including, but not exclusive to, Microsoft Office, databases and internet usage.
8. Current NSW driver's licence and commitment to travel across ISLHD.
