Undergraduate Assistant in Nursing or Midwifery – Casual Opportunities

 

Are you a second or third-year nursing student ready to take the next step in your career?

 

We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Undergraduate Nursing Students to join our team on a casual basis across a range of clinical settings throughout the district to support patient care during SDPR implementation. This is a great opportunity to start consolidating your learning, build confidence in a real-world environment, and gain valuable hands-on experience alongside experienced clinicians.

About the role
As an Undergraduate AIN, you will work under the supervision of Registered Nurses and Midwives to support patient care. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Apply and consolidate your clinical knowledge in practice within scope
  • Develop essential communication and teamwork skills
  • Gain exposure to a variety of clinical areas
  • Build your professional network within a supportive healthcare environment

 What we’re looking for

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Nursing or Midwifery (second or third year)
  • A genuine interest in patient-centred care
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A willingness to learn and contribute as part of a team
  • Applications must be available from mid to late May for a 3-week period, with the opportunity to transfer to the casual pool following this placement
