An opportunity exists for a motivated and driven leader to join the team as the Ultrasound Manager in rural NSW at Wagga Wagga.

The Ultrasound Manager is a member of the Medical Imaging leadership team and is responsible for the overall day to day management and service delivery for patients utilising the service.

About the Role:

As the Ultrasound Manager you will bring vision and clarity to your role, be a great communicator, self-directed, with an ability to inspire, motivate and support people to reach their full potential.
Each day you will challenge yourself to uphold the vision of Ultrasound service to effectively lead and develop your team through quality improvements to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes for patients of the service.

Key Responsibilities:

The Ultrasound Manager will provide effective leadership, governance and operational management for Ultrasound services at the facility, in adherence to all protocols, policies and procedures set out by the Chief Radiographer. The Ultrasound Manager is responsible for the appropriate clinical coverage of the ultrasound section, coordination and management of the Ultrasound services to ensure the delivery of high quality consistent patient care, efficient use of resources. The Ultrasound Manager will foster and maintain close professional relationships with relevant clinical managers, peers and District managers to achieve department and organisational goals.

✓ Current registration with the Australian Sonography Accreditation Registry (ASAR).
✓ Category A Vaccination
✓ Class C Drivers License
✓ Highly Preferable - NSW EPA Radiation License
✓ Highly Preferable - Medical Radiation Practitioner registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Wagga Wagga Health Service provides services including critical care, medical, surgical, paediatric, obstetric, and rehabilitation care. We also provide mental health and community health services. We work with a team of specialists which include cardiovascular, gastroenterology, renal medicine, obstetrics, orthopaedics, psychiatry and paediatrics.

There is also the provision of a full range of allied health and support services such as oral health, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, sexual health and violence prevention and response services.
