What You'll Be Doing:

The Adult Survivors Program is a specialist integrated program for adult survivors of child sexual abuse with complex needs. The Adult Survivors Program is a new hybrid strategic and clinical model including sector capacity building, training and education, case consultation, specialist trauma service, outreach and integrated case management in partnership between violence, abuse and neglect, mental health, drug and alcohol, Aboriginal health and community services.
This position will provide support and capacity building across the district as part of an interdisciplinary team as well as provide high quality and in depth levels of trauma informed advocacy and clinical services. Clinical work can include client assessment, care co-ordination, counselling and group work for adult survivors of child sexual abuse consistent with NSW Health and SESLHD policies, procedures and standards. The role also provides strategic systemic advocacy, networking and partnership across the district; including sexual assault, mental health, AOD and Aboriginal health and social services.

Selection Criteria
- Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award and eligibility for membership of AASW with extensive post graduate experience, or; Psychologist with recognised four year tertiary qualifications in Psychology and current registration with AHPRA.
- Extensive post graduate senior level strategic and clinical experience providing counselling, group work and complex case management for people who have experienced complex trauma; including an understanding of the impacts of the dynamics, effects and impact of child sexual assault, violence, abuse and neglect on adult survivors.
- Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels.
- Ability to provide in depth consultation, training and education to enhance service delivery and to guide and support others in providing service excellence with the capacity to provide clinical supervision to other staff.
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel, complex or critical nature.
- Ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning.
- Current NSW Drivers Licence with a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position.
